So this is my favorite shot from the photoshoot I did for the modeling contest I entered. Like I said in my latest journal, I don't think I'm going to make the cut this year, but I have learned a lot from entering this year, and I'll resubmit next year and get through it for sure.

The model in me likes sharing shots I'm particularly proud of, and this is the best swimsuit shot I've ever taken, minus the slight blurriness...I don't think I've ever been more annoyed to have a picture come out blurry.

The contest I entered is a voting-type thing...so the girls that have the connections are going to get the votes, I'm afraid. I say this because they're charging a dollar per vote, so just random voting isn't going to be able to push me through. I may try bribing my family to get them to vote...but I don't know if I can scrape what I'll need together in the time I have.

So there it is...just me posting a random photo to hide the fact that my vacation produced no artwork.

I find this very unique. I like the swimsuit, but not the makeup... But in a strange way that's what ties this together and makes it unique... Hm.

Yeah...the thing about modeling is that you very rarely get to do your own makeup...usually you don't even get to pick your wardrobe. This was a fairly unique shoot...I just got to use my swimsuit. So I was grateful for that. My makeup was done by someone else.

I have to blame part of it on my scanner. I got the hard copies, not the disk...so I had to scan it in. And if you've ever tried to scan a photograph with a POS scanner...it makes it look awful. -.-; And for some reason, a few of the shots came out blurry...like one of the photographer's lenses was smudged. So that didn't help much.

Technical glitches aside, I really love the shot...so that's why it's here. XD

It is a very lovely shot. Shame it isn't a bit clearer, though... but, it happens. :shrug:

Thank you! I do wish the shot had been clearer, but mistakes happen, no matter how good a photographer you are. I hope I pull through on the contest...but if not, it's not exactly the end of the world. Life will go on! XD

Gotta say I like your style. It reminds me of back-in-the-day modeling where it was all in black and white and the swim suits left something to the imagination. It's classy :] You're make-up is a bit overdone but not by too much. And you definetly have the "super model glare" down pat. lol. You gotta love how women who get paid to make men drool over them glare at the camera as if they will grab the nearest blunt object and ram it into the eye socket of any man who comes within 10 feet. XD Good job, love! Very proud :]
