The following was written as a report for the Head Priestess of one of the millions of Shrines dedicated to Lord Sephiroth.  For the sake of not revealing too much about myself, I will choose not to specify which Shrine(s) I belong to.

But the point of the matter is this:  I was wrong.  I screwed up, and the Head Preistess knew it.  Unfortunately, she was even less happy with the following report then she was with the former of the two.

No one at the Temple wishes to believe that the following is true, but it seems to me that whatever truth I may gather from these Trailers must be stated plainly for all who care to see.  Therefore, read on...should you care to know the true identity of the man beneath the shroud.

SUBJECT: The Man in the Wheelchair

TOPIC: Lord Sephiroth

At last, conclusive evidence can be drawn from the Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children Trailers.  It is now possible to state with near certainty the identity of the man behind the shroud.

The facts line up as follows:

1. Trailer One features Kadaj(speculated to be one of the fourteen clones of Lord Sephiroth) bowing before the man in the wheelchair.  As Kadaj looks up, the scene flashes to the burning of the town of Nieblehiem…the height of our Lord's glory.

2. Translation of Trailer Three shows the man in the wheelchair speaking of the purported clones, specifically Kadaj.  Though full English translation is still unclear, we can assume that this man is speaking of his brethren.

3. The official Square-Enix web page has a section devoted to the main characters of Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children.  All of the characters listed there have been directly seen in at least one of the three trailers…all, except Lord Sephiroth.

4. Lord Sephiroth's defeat by Cloud Strife left him presumably dead.  It is common knowledge, however, that Cloud Strife could never truly destroy Lord Sephiroth.

5. Lastly, our most conclusive evidence is drawn again from Trailer Three.  Near the end of this Trailer, Kadaj is seen standing beside this shrouded figure, preparing to summon what appears to be a WEAPON.  As Kadaj turns away and begins to cast the spell, this shrouded man looks up ever so slightly.  As he does so, one can clearly see silver strands of hair falling down the side of this man's face.

In effect, this newfound piece of information throws into sharp relief the reality of this man's identity.

He is our Lord…Sephiroth.

At this time, I have received many theories as to what has become of our Lord, both from employees and from outside sources.  Though all are merely speculation at this time, I feel it necessary to make known the possibilities.

Theories as follows:

1. Deceit: It is likely that Lord Sephiroth may wish to hide his identity from the Planet…until such a time as it is opportune to reveal it. This is, unfortunately, the kindest theory posed to me.

2. Star Scar Syndrome: This theory is highly unlikely, as it seems to me that the Star Scar Syndrome affects children, and it appears to be in some way related to the three clones…the Advent Children (?). Therefore, it is almost impossible to assume that Lord Sephiroth is affected.

3. Makou Poisoning: Of the four of these theories, it is this one which could possibly have the most ring of truth.  However, little more then speculation is known of the symptoms of such poisoning.  And so, we can only be left to ponder what such an illness may entail.

4. Cancer: Just as unlikely as theory two, but we still can disregard no theory that evidence can be put forth to support. For this, the thought is behind that white hood.  There is no reason for our Lord to hide His face behind a shroud…unless there is something horribly wrong.

It is of great concern to me that none of the above theories can be disregarded…and there are surely yet more horrifying speculations to come.

For now, all that is left to do is wait and pray to whatever higher God one might worship for the safety and health of our Lord Sephiroth.
